A gunshot rips through the night air. The sun rises above the city, and a young man is identified as the Mayor’s party-loving son, Conrad. As Detectives Thicke (Keith Harris, Junebug) and Noel piece together the events leading up to Conrad’s murder, the lives and secrets of the strangers who shared the bar with him that night begin to unravel.
Jack, a popular local comedian, is the subject of a documentary by an overzealous local producer, whose partner (Scott Miles, October Sky) often cringes at his questionable story-gathering tactics. Looking on is Greg, Jack’s older brother, a wannabe comedian whose life is in shambles. Bruce (Burgess Jenkins, Remember the Titans) is a decorated veteran just returned from a two-year tour in Iraq. His wife, Salem, waited patiently for her husband’s return before meeting Christina (Andrea Powell, The Legend of Bagger Vance), a pretty blonde whose good looks disguise a cunning and cruel mastermind.
The detectives force the investigation onward, but no one seems to have any answers. As pressure from the mayor mounts, the detectives zero in on their suspect. But is he the right man? When everybody uses everybody, the truth is only as good as the next story.
